Rebuilt Starter Ford V8-60 (wide bearing plate) complete with Bendix drive Fits 1937 to 1940 60 hp flathead 6-Volt only w/standard transmission.
Contact us if you have a starter core, your non-working starter of similar type. A $35.00 credit will be allowed if you ship us your starter CORE that fits this same model.
These starter frames are not painted, they are bare steel ready for your engine color of paint. The available starter frames are similar to the one shown.

Note: Also, A later style Ford starter frame is available that will allow for a 12-volt shunt coil to be installed in the starter frame. This starter will fit the V8-60 engine where the vehicle is converted to a 12-volt system. The total starter size is exactly the same as original. To order this starter please contact us to make sure we have all the parts at that time. Please plan an additional $20. cost for new field coils and the 12-volt shunt coil and labor cost. All parts cleaned and inspected. Bad parts replaced with new or rebuilt parts.
Original Field Coils completely rebuilt with new twill wrap, no foreign made replacements.
Armature tested, commutator turned, shaft straightened, and wire winds coated with wire coating to protect against deterioration of the insulation.
New brushes, new bearings where needed, new copper terminal stud kit with copper nut. New stainless steel brush access cover band.
The starter Bendix Drive Kit is inspected to be in good as new condition or a rebuilt unit is installed in its place.
Complete starter is bench tested and actually engine tested for good starting power.
